Happy Thanksgiving!

Today is a day to remember what we are thankful for. Normally we think about a laundry list of things that we are thankful for and this is all good. But shouldnt we be thankful all the time. It is hard to live a life of thankfulness. Lots of bad things happen. However when you are thankfull all the time it makes your life easer and less stressful. It is funny to when you set down to think of the things that you are thankfull for you end up thinking of the little things. The other day i thought of things that i was thankfull for and thought about how i was thankful for smiles that julie and i exchange between each other.

Exodus weekend service

This weekend the women of exodus community gave the message. I thought it went well. they did a great job. If you want to listen to it click here. After this the men of cooked a great breakfast. I love the community that we have at exodus. The great thing about being a smaller group is that we can be invested in others lives like we are.

Pictures for your blog

Dont you hate it when you are creating a blog and it would be perfect if only it had a picture in it. You could search on google for a picture however you run the risk that that picture is copyrighted and you could go ahead and use it but you run the risk of getting sued for using a copyright picture. Why risk it there is a great site where you can get blog pictures. All of the pictures are free for you to use on your blog and you dont have to worry about copyrights. As you can see in this blog post they are great looking pictures. If you have a high quality picture that you would like to share you can upload it and others can use it in their blog. This service is great if you need a picture but dont have much time to search for a picture that is suitable for you. This blog pictures site is the best site that i have found for this. One of the things that I like about this site is it is easy. You just register your blog so that they know that use the pictures. If you want to dress up your blog posts there is no better way than using acobox.com its fast simple and great pictures. Registration was a breeze.

Today i switched hours with a co worker and it was great. He needed to be off in the morning so i came in at the time he normally comes in at which is 9:00 Am it is great to be able to get off of work at 5:30 PM i wish i could do this every day. I will actually get to go to small group tonight. It is great. I pray for a day when i can have normal hours

Those of you who are outdoor lovers like i am ( i think most cachers are)just love being outside. However being outside requires you to have to correct gear. I have found a website that sells Adventure Gear. For us who love the out side. They have many products on their website. When i first went to the page i see a Brunton Storm Windproof Sealable Lighter. That they are selling for way below the MSRP. Their site is easy to navigate. On the left hand side there is two main catagorys One is browse by department. The other is browse by brand. I found the browse by department catagory very helpful. I just went in and said i was interested in seeing all the camp items then chose stoves. and i could see all the stoves that they were offering with pictures then if i click on a picture I get a great detailed description of the facts of the lamp. There is even a handy link to email the item to a friend. Ordering couldnt be easer. there is a add to cart button at the bottom that makes it easy to order. Tomorrow i am working early because we are painting our house on Saturday. Well when i say our house i mean our living room and kitchen. Friday night we are going to move and tape all the stuff in the way of the walls. It will be fun. I need to change hours. I can not do this much longer. It is effecting our family :( Saturday we are painting the house which should be good. We needed to do this for a long time. Infact we have been meaning to do this since we moved in.

I was not nice to my wife this weekend. Not sure why …but got In arguments that didn’t even need to be had but got in them and still didn’t give up. I need to start thinking more about my wife's feelings. Sorry Julie that I haven't done that lately.

Our heat is back on. The furnace guy came out today and fixed it. Julie said it didnt take him very long at all maybe 20 minutes. So it will be nice tonight to spend the night at home. We didnt sleep will last night. Julie was on the couch and that dosnt sleep well. I sleept in a small bed with Eli and he moves around a lot. So YEAH HEAT!!!!

Furnace

This year we have been trying to keep our furnace off as long as possible. Today we realized (as it is getting cold) that our furnace isnt working. The gas is dispensing but the furnace isnt firing. So i think tonight we are going to stay at the inlaws. This just comes at a bad time. I know that it will be ok however it is just a bad time. Tomorrow is when the furnace guy is comming out.

Hours

I was hired on to do helpdesk support from noon to 8:30 pm and when I started my boss introduced me to the crew and said my hours for now were noon to 8:30. Since I was hired there was a new person hired too. He got 6-2:30 ok what ever. Right after this I sent an email to my boss asking him for new hours when some came available. Right after that someone got fired. So they just hired a new lady and guess what she has 8:00 - 4:00 GRRRRRRR. I am trying to stay positive however it is hard. Yes I am glad for a job.

Last night while I was at work Julie and the boys went to our small group. Micah saw one of the other guys from the back and said really excited "Daddy" then when he realized it wasn’t me his face turned from excitement to disappointment and sadness came over him. Julie said that he clung to her for about 45 minutes then. This breaks my heart. I would love to be off this shift from noon to 8:30 I miss so much of what is happening with my family.

Life is short

Today when Courtney got to our house to drop off her son she told us that they got word that a person in the church that we use to go to passed away last night. He had a heart attack. He was fairly young. It is just so weird when someone dies that is unexpected like that. It makes you remember that death can come at any time. Don’t expect that you will be around tomorrow. Please say I love you to your kids and spouse tonight

Julie and I gave blood on saturday and then we went on a geocaching date. We found 8 caches. We were successful. we didnt have any DNF's. it was a lot of fun. I love caching with my family kids included but it is a whole differnt thing with the kids. It was nice to just hang out with my wife. find a few caches. No worries about pulling all the kids out of the van. We hit some very interesting caches.

I twittered this morning that I should blog but I have no idea of what to blog on http://twitter.com/jeepin_idaho/statuses/943574113 said that I should blog on Christmas lists. So here it is. This year I don’t really have a Christmas list and the answer to why I don’t is a simple one. I really don’t NEED anything. Christmas shouldn’t be about what I want. It should be about me wanting to give stuff to other people. Nothing feels better than if you help someone in need. Yes I am getting some stuff for my kids and wife. But I don’t want anything. I just want to be able to help people who are less blessed as me

This weekend

This weekend we went to my parents house. We had a fun time. We did some caching and hit 7 finds and 2 DNF's on Saturday. On Sunday we went fishing. I caught one carpe. Not sure how I did that. They are not worm eaters but I did…It got away but that is ok because we wouldn’t be good eating. We caught several Blue gill. I caught a 15 inch bass and Julie caught 2 14 inch ones. We had some good dinner of fish last night. We had a great weekend. We should go there more often

Camping

This weekend we went camping. Wow that was fun. We went to chain o lakes park and camped. The boys loved it. The funny thing is on Friday night Eli woke up in the middle of the night and was crying and a pack of coyotes started howling. It was actually quite entertaining. Saturday we went boating and did a little caching…well we tried to cache but failed on Saturday. I only had the Garmin 76csx and I had all the cool codes for the waypoint like GCNUM FFFF TRN which would be the GC Number. The last four logs i.e. Found Found Found Found. Then Type and Size and bug(yes or no) and the most caches in the park were RUN which was Earth Unknown and no bugs. I forgot that R was earth so we were looking for a box….not good. And Julie always says I need a cheat sheet for the waypoint names. And she is right! So then on Sunday we did find a cache called "Timber Of The Possum" waypoint GCK0W6. it was a good cache. We had our friends Joel and Jackie with us and this was their first cache.

Job hours

So I finished my first day working the afternoon/evening shift. It went ok. It nice to have the morning with Julie and the boys. However it was kind of strange just getting home and then having them go to bed. It was also strange last night going home and it being dark when I left work. I don’t think the evening shift will bother me as much as I thought. I mean I will still be able to see my family. As far as the social aspect…oh well.

It is Friday. Its kind of dreary outside. It is raining and there really isn't much going on. I am glad it is Friday. Not much going on but it is Friday. Next week I start my normal shift here at work! It will be Noon - 8:30 PM. My co worker is like a drug dealer (not literally) but yesterday he convinced to buy lunch from this Mexican place. WOW it was good. No idea what I was actually having but it was good. It was eggs and steak and some sort of salsa and avocados and wow good. Today he is like are you sure you don’t want something from Fernando's the cheese burger is awesome and I said not today and he said are you sure…..

Ok so I am trying to update my blog from work via email. It should work. I have email. So we will see. Today so far has been better I haven't lost any calls. So that is good. Julie and the boys still aren't feeling well. Micah threw up yesterday. Eli is still running a temp and Julie just doesn't feel right. We might not be at group tonight it just depends on how the day went. We don’t want to infect anyone with this junk. So we will see.
